Pour a cup of this non-dairy peppermint hot chocolate, we are about to get deep here. It's ironic how the harder you try to control your life, the more out of control it becomes. This is the hardest first step. The first ingredient is cacao instead of sugar or some filler; this was good news.

Steps to make Hot Chocolate…..non Dairy:
  1. Mix cocoa, brown sugar, coffee, vanilla extract, cinnamon and the 1/4 cups hot water in 2 quart sauce pan
  2. Heat on low til dissolved and well blended
  3. Add creamer and boiling water to cocoa mixture
  4. Heat on low for 3 minutes, stirring continuously, til creamer is dissolved.
  5. Remove from heat, let cool for 5 to 10 minutes, til cool enough to drink
  6. Serve with a sprinkling of cinnamon
  7. Enjoy.
  8. Makes 2 8 oz servings or 3 6oz servings.

It's nondairy (which is hard to find), it's sweetened with chicory root (hard to find anything without sugar. You can basically substitute any non dairy products for milk and then follow the regular recipe for hot chocolate i.e. heat the 'milk' and add chocolate till it melts and stir in sugar to taste.
